The Game Awards 2022 has officially kicked off on Thursday, December 8. Viewers can also watch The Game Awards 2022 live through streaming platforms such as YouTube and Twitch.
The Game Awards ceremony features 23 award categories, covering nominated mobile and PC games as well as Coach, Team, and Event categories. Players had already cast their final votes for their favorite nominated games by December 4.
Host Geoff Keighley said on his Twitch stream that the main program for tonight’s The Game Awards 2022 ceremony is expected to run for about two and a half hours. By comparison, the 2021 edition of The Game Awards, including the pre-show, ran for four hours.
Viewers of The Game Awards 2022 livestream will also earn more rewards the longer they watch. Watching for 60 minutes via Twitch will earn a Geoff Keighley Among Us Mask usable in the game Among Us, as well as a digital copy of Rogue Legacy. In addition, a Steam Deck will reportedly be given away for free every minute to viewers watching via the Steam platform.
