Ooredoo provides communicating supports to fight the COVID-19 Pandemic
Ooredoo Myanmar, a socially responsive telecom operator in Myanmar is playing its part in necessary and essential areas by contributing telecommunications services to the fight against the COVID-19 Pandemic. Ooredoo announced that telecommunications services are essential in supporting on-time, effective management for the officials in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In order to ensure people in quarantine centers to stay connected and stay safe during the outbreak of COVID-19, Ooredoo Myanmar donated over 13,000 SIM cards, loaded with Data and Top-up to Regional State governments to use for people who are in quarantine centers in Yangon Region, Naypyitaw Council, Kayin, and the Mon States.

During these difficult times, it is important to access up to date information from the trusted source to prevent the spread of the virus and prevent communities. Ooredoo is offering Zero data charges for downloading and using “Saw Saw Shaw” Application which a system for health officials to monitor people who submit their health conditions or report the COVID situation via the app to receive early treatment and prevent the spread of COVID-19 in communities. Users can also inform the status of COVID-19 infection status at the places that they have visited.

Together with Ooredoo, customers can also donate Ks. 500 or 1,000 from their top-ups by typing 500 or 1000 in the SMS to 9900, as many time as they wish.
