Telenor introduces non-stop data roaming pack for frequent flyers to Thailand

Telenor Myanmar has introduced a special data roaming package for all of its prepaid and star postpaid users travelling or working in Thailand. With this new worry-free roaming promotion, Telenor customers can now use non-stop internet while roaming in Thailand for 3 days with the subscription fees of only 999 Kyats.

Once subscribed, it will be valid for 3 days (72 hours) and for each day, the users will be able to browse the internet with the fastest possible speed for the first 1 GB. Despite of the 1 GB allowance has been consumed for that day, users will be able to browse the internet with the speed of 256 Kbps by which they still can check their emails and social media accounts without worry.

“We realize that Thailand is the most popular destination for many Myanmar people for vacation or for business purposes. This newly-introduced roaming promotion will bring those people an experience of worry-free internet with a very affordable price. Just by spending 999 Kyats, customers can now use non-stop internet to keep in touch with their families and friends or to manage their businesses remotely even while they are traveling in Thailand. They do not need to worry anymore about their budgets or switching different SIM cards and stay connected with what matters most for their daily lives” said Amaresh Kumar, Chief Marketing Officer of Telenor Myanmar.

The standard data rate in Thailand normally starts from 15 Kyat per MB and during this promotion period, Telenor customers will be able to surf the internet worriless for three days just by paying a subscription fee of 999 Kyats. Starting from February 16th until further notice, all Telenor prepaid and star postpaid users can activate this promotion on MyTelenor app or by either sending ‘Thai3’ to 500. Moreover, Telenor prepaid users can also subscribe the promotion by dialing *979*2*5*6# while Star Postpaid users can subscribe the promotion by dialing *999*1*1*12#.

Growing international roaming network

With a growing list of available countries and roaming partners, Telenor makes it easy and affordable for all customers to stay connected when traveling, or with family and friends in other countries. Currently, Telenor Myanmar subscribers can use roaming services with 171 partners in 125 countries. Telenor’s 4G roaming service is currently available in China, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, UAE, Canada, Macau, Taiwan, New Zealand, Sweden, Belgium and Norway, and more destinations will later be added on the list. Subscribers of 227 operators from 134 countries can use their overseas SIMs with Telenor network in Myanmar.
