Ooredoo Myanmar proudly celebrated its 9th anniversary today, marking nine years of bringing the latest, high-quality technology to Myanmar and contributing to the development of the country’s telecom industry through continuous innovation. Ooredoo Myanmar has stood at the forefront of the telecom industry, having launched services on an advanced 3G network in 2014 and having been the first to bring a world-class 4G network to Myanmar in 2016. As a responsible telecom operator committed to supporting community development, Ooredoo has carried out numerous CSR programs across Myanmar, with a particular focus on education and healthcare.
At the 9th anniversary celebration, Ooredoo proudly marked the occasion by awarding five-kyat-weight gold prizes to winners of two of its most popular programs: the “Ooredoo Donates 1 Kyat for Every Minute You Talk” CSR initiative and the “Chwin Chwin Chwin” lucky draw program. To continue supporting the education and social development of Myanmar’s communities, Ooredoo relaunched the “Ooredoo Donates 1 Kyat for Every Minute You Talk” program on July 1, 2023. Through this program, Ooredoo donates one kyat for every minute its customers spend on calls. The funds raised through this program will be used to build educational facilities, equipment, and digital centers, as well as to carry out repairs where needed, to provide free education to children in underserved communities across Myanmar.

At the ceremony, Ooredoo awarded five-kyat-weight gold prizes to the June and July winners of the “Chwin Chwin Chwin” lucky draw program in front of media and the public. This program is another example of how Ooredoo Myanmar helps its customers’ golden dreams come true. The gold prize winners were selected live on Ooredoo Myanmar’s Facebook page, drawn from among Ooredoo customers in Ayeyarwady Region, Mandalay Region, Sagaing Region, Yangon Region, and Shan State.
To mark its 9th anniversary, Ooredoo also announced a special offer for all its customers. From August 13 to August 21, Ooredoo customers can purchase a 5GB data package valid for three days for just MMK 999, as they choose.
