Ooredoo Group, a leading telecommunications company, has announced the launch of the Ooredoo Learning Academy (OLA), a forward-looking initiative that puts the company’s commitment into action to nurture professional talent, drive career growth, and keep its people ahead in an industry that never stops evolving.
The programme builds on existing collaborative learning methods such as on-the-job training and close mentoring, and improves them with a holistic, more effective approach to learning and development for employees.
As part of Ooredoo’s strategy for investing in its people, OLA becomes a learning pillar for the Group, aiming to close skills gaps and cultivate a strong pool of high-performing professionals from within the business who can meet the critical needs of the future economy. It is designed to consistently support the company’s strategic goals through continuous learning and the best possible performance outcomes, in line with Ooredoo’s well-known way of working.
Scaling for Success
One of OLA’s key goals is to create easily scalable learning and development programmes across the Group and its operating companies. This is intended not only to be cost-effective to invest in, but also to ensure every learner has consistent access to high-quality education.
Employees will be able to conveniently access courses through OLA covering digital, technology, business, procurement, finance, human resources, leadership development, and other topics.
Consolidating Knowledge, Boosting Collaboration
As Ooredoo’s unified learning platform, the OLA programme will serve as a bridge connecting the Group with its operating companies, elevating traditional learning while fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing. This collaborative approach ensures consistent, inclusive learning experiences and helps boost the capabilities of every employee across the company.
Ooredoo Myanmar’s Learning Academy
Under the Ooredoo Group’s leadership, Ooredoo Myanmar will roll out the “Ooredoo Myanmar Learning Academy” built on two main pillars: the “Leadership Academy,” where employees can learn leadership-related subjects, and the “Functional Academy,” where they can learn skills specific to each business function.
The Ooredoo Myanmar Learning Academy is a digital training and development platform where employees can learn function-specific skills, leadership capabilities, and behavioural competencies to boost each individual’s performance and potential.
Through the Ooredoo Myanmar Learning Academy, employees will be able to schedule and attend company-provided instructor-led sessions as well as self-paced courses, following a structured learning path focused on long-term development. The learning methods include digital platform-based learning, knowledge-sharing, and hands-on job training.
