The Korea Agro-Trade Center, Bangkok (aT Bangkok) has successfully held the Online Business Matching sessions of K-Food Fair 2021 Bangkok, one of the largest Korean food trade fairs recently held in Bangkok.
The event brought together business owners, retailers and wholesalers, importers, and distributors from Thailand, India, and Myanmar, along with top food and beverage producers and exporters from South Korea. Alongside the Online Business Matching sessions, food industry experts and import/export specialists also held an online seminar to share information about popular Korean food trends in Thailand, running online from October 26 to 27, 2021.

The event received strong success and a great response from business owners, food retailers and wholesalers, and importers from Thailand, India, and Myanmar who are seeking business growth opportunities. More than 67 businesses took part in the Business Matching program, engaging in discussions with 38 renowned Korean food and beverage exporters, including Evergood Corporation, Jo Eun Farm Agricultural Association Corporation, Nature Farm Corp, Kwangdong Pharmaceutical Company Limited, and Vilac Company Limited.
Notably, buyers received product samples from the exporting businesses ahead of the event, and also held exclusive online discussions with exporters aimed at building international partnerships.
At least 234 businesses were connected through the event, making it a successful trade fair.
Alongside business matchmaking, the two-day event also featured seminar sessions. Under the title “Future Food Trends and the Expansion Opportunity of Korean Food in Thailand,” Parama Thipthanasub, Director of the Trend and Future Concept Research Lab at Baramizi Lab, spoke about studying today’s Korean food trends for consumers and strategies for expanding into the Thai market.
In addition, Kelvin Lee, Managing Director of KCTC Thai Logistics, spoke on FTA Utilization Strategy and Labeling Regulations for Exporting Regulations, covering Thai labeling requirements for importing Korean food products into Thailand.
