How to charge the battery to last longer

Built-in long-lasting batteries are included in Laptops, Phone, and Tablet; however, the duration of the batteries is different. It also depends on the charging level, temperature, and charging methods. In case, it is important to take care of battery for those who want to use the device for a long time. Here are some tips to know to have a long-lasting battery.

Should the laptop be charged all the time?

It is one of the most common questions and the answer is no. You should only charge between 40% and 80%. And it is best to charge when the battery drops below 40%. Continuous charging can cause the battery to overheat and affect long-term use. The latest laptops include technology that cuts off the power supply when the battery is 100 percent full. It is best to take care not to raise the temperature if you continue to charge.

Should you charge the battery after using it until it runs out?

This is another most common question. Using the battery to 0% can affect the charge cycle of the battery. Full-time charging does not harm the battery that much but it can affect the battery life if there is not enough power to run the charge cycle. In case, you shouldn’t use it until the battery level reach zero and it is best to keep the battery between 40 and 80 percent.

Using Cooling Fan

The more using time increase, the temperature is rising. It is necessary to use external cooling fan as well as built in cooling fan to reduce temperature and maintain battery life. Laptops are designed to be as small as possible with compactable design, and you should not use them on your lap or on the pillow which reduces ventilation.

Battery Health

Apple’s products include a system that can check Battery Health, and you can check the percentage of Battery Heath. Once the battery health reaches below 80%, it is better to replace the battery.

In addition to the facts mentioned above, you should also take care of the charging voltage. High or low voltage including unstable voltage can also affect battery life. As temperature is important in batteries, it can be dangerous if the temperature exceeds 30 degree Celsius.
