Holding a Graduation Ceremony of Digital Technology Teacher Training Course (2019)

Graduation ceremony of computer teacher training course which was launched with the support of a telecommunication operator, MPT, and NLD education network was held at Telecom and Postal Training Center on 13th December 2019 at Yangon.

In that course, great techniques which can effectively teach Microsoft Computer Applications and advanced IT skills to others were taught and 25 trainees were attended. Those members were selected and screened by NLD education network training centers throughout the nation and they had already finished basic computer courses in those NLD training centers. Photo Source By Myanmar Tech Press

Dr. Myo Nyunt, Central Executive Committee (CEC) member of NLD said that “the basic network building was not enough to reduce the gap between the increasing rate in digital technology and proficiency in digital technology. In order to solve this problem, they made an effort in partnership with MPT to develop the social environment of the country and the proficiency of digital technology with fewer opportunities for young people.”Photo Source By Myanmar Tech Press

Within two years from the beginning of the computer proficiency course, 100 trainees who can retrain computer technology to youths from respective local areas completed this course.

“We are very glad for the program of “Moving Forward to Digital Education” can not only develop a society of local area but also increase the digital technology proficiency of youths and promote job opportunities. Moreover, he added it was a good prospect for emerging a great deal of trainees who had accomplished the course from that digital education. The program of “Moving Forward to Digital Education” had begun as part of social welfare which was implemented by three main pillars (education, health, and entrepreneurial small business). This program which was implemented jointly by MPT and NLD education network was intended to get access to education and technology for the youths in rural areas. It was started in 2016 and it can be recorded that over 5000 students throughout the countries had been trained basic level of computer proficiency course.

Ko Aung Thura, one of the members of the teacher training course said that he became to be proficient in IT technology for he had finished the program of “Moving Forward to Digital Education” and he also pleased that he had the chance to share his knowledge on IT technology to the youths, future generations of the society to bring about changes in their lives.
