This program was launched on 13th March 2020, and it was originally targeted to continue this provision until 13th June. However, since COVID-19 is still outbreaking in Myanmar, this free provision period of COVID-19 protection will be extended to 3 months till 13 of September.
By the fact that there are 249 positive cases and 6 expired cases till June 11th, COVID-19 is still a threat for Myanmar Citizens, and thus, KBZ MS decided to continue to support health care to its Ah-Raw-Jan insurance policy customers. The ones, who have already had KBZ MS’s Ah-Raw-Jan service and who started buying the plan, would be entitled to free 50% surplus of insurance fees if they were got treatments as outpatients, hospitalized and died due to COVID-19.
KBZ MS’s CEO, Mr. Anil Mancham stated, “As part of free perfect Life Planning assessment, skilled Life Planners are ready to consult interested companies and customers on which health insurance policy is the most suitable one for them.” Photo Source https://web.facebook.com/kbzms/
KBZ MS will also provide flu vaccination to its employees and corporates with its services to be able to safely overcome the upcoming flu season. To raise awareness of the health benefits of flu vaccines, KBZ MS targeted entrepreneurs in Myanmar for implementation of the flu vaccination program.
For front-line employees and corporates having collective insurance services from June, 300 flu vaccines will be provided. As a pilot project, this is started in Yangon and the project will be expanded to other regions of Myanmar depending on the results before the end of 2020. Mr. Anil Mancham added “Seasonal flu and its consequences of health are often neglected. As a responsible employer and a leader in the insurance industry, I would like my employees to be healthy and safe and I would also like the companies to have our services to take care of their employees. By the time we are trying to adapt to the consequences of COVID-19 pandemic disease, this year flu season is closer gradually. So, we decided not only to extend the period of COVID-19 protection but also to lead in supporting the most efficient way to prevent seasonal flu by taking flu vaccination. I hope that people, who purchase KBZ MS’s health insurance policies, would be safe in their hearts due to our diligent efforts.”
Flu can impact tremendously on every individual and business. Especially in small businesses with a delicate ecosystem, the absence of an employee has an impact on the operation and can cause a reduction in productivity and the amount of work done. However, the health care system is still less used for employees in Myanmar. KBZ MS can challenge this fact and hopes to conduct this as a new term for inserting free health care in employees’ rights.
