Introducing Meta: A Social Technology Company

Meta company now introduces a social technology company with the name of Meta.

“So far, we are proud of what we have built and excited about what we can do next— as we move beyond what’s possible today, beyond the constraints of screens, beyond the limits of distance and physics, and towards a future where everyone can be present with each other, create new opportunities and experience new things. It is a future that is beyond anyone company and that will be made by all of us”, shared by Mark Zuckerberg. Photo Source fbmyanmarpress@fb.com

Right now, our brand is so tightly linked to one product that it can’t possibly represent everything we’re doing today, let alone in the future. Over time, I hope we are seen as a metaverse company, and I want to anchor our work and our identity on what we’re building towards,” continued by Mark Zuckerberg.

I chose the word “Meta” with the meaning of “beyond” which reflects our commitment to creating social technology beyond digital connections.

The Meta symbol was designed to dynamically live in the metaverse with a 3D design— where you can move through it and around it. The symbol takes on a blue gradient and pulls in the color of our core products, acknowledging our existence history.

The metaverse will feel like a hybrid of today’s online social experiences, sometimes expanded into three dimensions or projected into the physical world. It will let you share immersive experiences with other people even when you can’t be together — and do things together you couldn’t do in the physical world. It’s the next evolution in a long line of social technologies, and it’s ushering in a new chapter for our company”, said by Mark Zuckerberg. Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses. When Facebook launched in 2004, it changed the way people connect. Apps like Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp further empowered billions around the world. Now, Meta is moving beyond 2D screens toward immersive experiences like augmented and virtual reality to help build the next evolution in social technology.
