“MPT Freestyle Football Challenge” Aims to Ignite a Passion for Healthy & Active Lifestyle while Staying Home

MPT, the official partner of Myanmar National League (MNL), today launched the “MPT Freestyle Football Challenge” Video Contest for Myanmar football enthusiasts, providing them with an opportunity to showcase their football skills while staying home.

This new, fun challenge video contest aims to ignite a passion for a healthy and active lifestyle during these difficult times. All Myanmar citizens who love the beautiful game can participate in this challenge video contest. Contestants will have a chance to score great prizes by uploading a short video recording (as shown in the sample video) showcasing their football skills to a dedicated Challange Portal at http://mptfreestylefootball.com/ which will be activated on 22nd May at noon. The video must be at least 30 seconds long and can have up to 3 minutes duration.

Starting from 23rd May, contestants can upload their video to the Challenge Portal by signing up using MPT SIM number and relevant personal information. Moreover, for the videos to be eligible for consideration, contestants must publicly share them on their Facebook pages, along with the link to the Challenge Portal, using a hashtag #MPTFreestyleFootballChallenge. Photo Source https://www.facebook.com/mptofficialpage

“Due to the COVID-19 situation, many people are staying at home while sports activities are also suspended across the country. However, we need to keep our body and mind healthy and active as much as we can while staying home. This MPT Freestyle Football Challenge aims to encourage everyone to do just that. It is fun, challenge yourself, showcase your football skills, be judged by famous football stars, and also win great prizes.” Said Mr.Tetsunori Nagashima, Chief Commercial Officer of MPT-KSGM JO.

There are special Early Bird prizes for the first (20) contestants who uploaded their videos to the Challange Portal where each winner will receive a soccer ball with a memory signature of famous football players.

A total of 20 winners will be selected based on the combination of public voting (50%) and the verdict from the penal of judges (50%), comprising Myo Hlaing Win, Soe Myat Min, and Thiha Si Thu, famous former Myanmar football superstars. The First Prize winner will be awarded Ks. 300,000, where the Second Prize and Third Prize winners will be awarded Ks. 200,000 and Ks. 100,000 respectively. The remaining (17) contestants will receive Ks. 50,000 as a consolation prize. All prize money will be awarded via the MPT Money application.

Participants will be able to upload their videos until 12th June. The winners will be announced on 19th June.
