Some of the Facebook Messenger users experienced that they are sending wrong messages to others or sending messages to the wrong people. And also, there is the time when they want to edit or delete the messages they have mistakenly sent to others without disturbing. But in previous versions of Messenger, there is no such feature. All you can do is re-sending the messages and apologize for sending the wrong messages. Now in the latest version of Messenger, there is a new feature called Unsend Feature.
In April, TechCrunch reported the messages sent by Mark Zuckerberg to others were secretly deleted but the messages sent from others to him have still remained. After ten months of Facebook claims that they are trying to make Facebook more useful and they have to delete the messages because of the security matters, the new feature is launched that users can delete their own messages even in the receiver’s inbox.

Useful way of Facebook Messenger feature “Remove for Everyone ” button is that you can delete any messages, photos, videos, and links you send within ten minutes and able to use that feature in both PM (Personal Message) and Group Chat. You can’t delete the messages sent from receivers but you can delete your messages and both you and receivers are unable to see the message you deleted. Facebook will keep these deleted messages for a while to approve that these messages are not abusive or discrimination.
In order to delete your message, first, you must select the message you want to delete and then Remove for you “and “Remove for everyone ” will be appeared.” Remove for you ” is the same as ” Delete Message ” in previous versions that all you can do is delete messages and others still can see the messages you deleted. ” Remove for Everyone ” will delete the messages and both you and receivers can’t see the messages again. If you are in chat groups, “Remove for Everyone” will permanently delete the messages and nobody can see them again. But you will see the pop up “You’ll permanently remove this message for all chat members. They can see you removed a message and still report it. “and after you are confirmed ” You removed a message ” will appear instead of your message. You can use this Unsend Feature in both iOS and Android by updating the latest version.
Facebook announces that the limit time of “Unsend Feature” will not change. There is no plan to give more than ten minutes in the future too because they believe that the sender will realize that messaging wrong person or wrong messages just in a few seconds. In summary, even Unsend Feature of Facebook Messenger is not a first chatting platform that can delete the messages, it still can save from sending wrong messages, the wrong reply and sending messages to wrong people and it is such a great feature for users.
