Ooredoo Myanmar Awards 5-Tical Gold Prizes to Three March ‘Chwin Chwin Chwin’ Lucky Draw Winners

Ooredoo Myanmar held an award ceremony at its Yangon head office on April 28 to present 5-tical gold prizes to three winners of the March round of its “Chwin Chwin Chwin” lucky draw promotion. The winners for March 2023 had been selected through a live draw broadcast on the Ooredoo Myanmar Facebook Page on April 6, after which the winners were contacted by phone.

“Chwin Chwin Chwin” is one of Ooredoo’s key programs to reward its subscribers. To take part, customers dial *555# to register, and every purchase of a data or voice package worth 999 kyats or more gives them a chance to win one of three 5-tical gold prizes each month. Customers who received a message from Ooredoo asking them to re-register their SIM card also become eligible for the 5-tical gold prize once they successfully re-register with correct details.

Ooredoo Myanmar’s Acting CEO, Daw Htar Thant Zin, said, “Gold is a treasure that holds special value for us Myanmar people. Gold never loses its worth, and as the saying goes, it can always be resold whenever it’s needed to meet life’s needs. That’s why, instead of other luxury or everyday items, we chose to reward our Ooredoo subscribers with truly valuable gold prizes. We have also been happy to see the positive changes in the lives of past winners of Ooredoo ‘Chwin Chwin Chwin’’s special gold prizes. So that more subscribers can have the same chance to win, Ooredoo is continuing the ‘Chwin Chwin Chwin’ lucky draw, and starting this March we are continuing to award three 5-tical gold prizes every month,” she said.

When Ooredoo contacted the March “Chwin Chwin Chwin” winners to inform them of their 5-tical gold win, they were overjoyed and stunned by the unexpected news. All three winners shared their experiences of winning Ooredoo Chwin Chwin Chwin’s gold prizes. One of the winners, Ma Hnin Wai Hlaing from Myan Aung Township, Ayeyarwady Region, automatically entered the lucky draw after successfully re-registering her SIM card, and won the 5-tical gold prize. She has been using Ooredoo for six years. She shared her experience, saying, “I’m truly amazed and happy that Ooredoo brought me such great luck. I like both Ooredoo’s internet and calling services. Since I knew I needed to re-register my SIM under my own name so it wouldn’t be deactivated, I re-registered so I wouldn’t lose my Ooredoo line. I had no idea there was a lucky draw involved. Winning like this left me speechless with joy. I’ll use part of the prize money to donate toward building a stupa at my village monastery, and the rest for improving my future.”

Another winner, Ko Moe Hein Khant from Mhawbi Township, Yangon Region, said, “I bought an Ooredoo data package to play games online. Winning a 5-tical gold prize from that is honestly hard to believe. I’m so happy. I buy packages from Ooredoo often, but I never expected to win something this big. I’ll use part of the prize for a donation in my neighborhood first, and use the rest to improve my life.”

“Before winning the gold prize, I’d already had some luck with Ooredoo – I once won a 10GB data prize playing Doun Doun Doun on the My Ooredoo App. I’ve been using Ooredoo for about two years now. I like Ooredoo’s services, especially the clear call quality and the fast, reliable data service,” Ko Moe Hein Khant from Mhawbi Township continued.

Ko Pyae Phyo Aung from Tagondaing Ward, Mandalay Region, said, “When Ooredoo told me I’d won a gold prize in the Chwin Chwin Chwin draw, I didn’t believe it at first. So I watched the live broadcast on the Ooredoo Myanmar Facebook Page, and when I saw that I had really won, I was so happy I couldn’t find the words. I’ve been using Ooredoo for almost a year now. I like playing games with Ooredoo’s very fast internet connection. For now, I plan to buy land first with the prize. I’m very grateful to Ooredoo for giving out such valuable prizes.”
