ATOM Kicks Off 'Share ATOM's Heart' Activities to Support Communities Across Myanmar

ATOM, the provider of Myanmar’s best 4.5G VoLTE service, has kicked off a series of activities under its “Share ATOM’s Heart” programme to celebrate the New Year season. Aimed at supporting communities across Myanmar, this nationwide programme includes a wide range of donations and outreach activities and will run from December 2023 through February 2024.

Building on the success of last year’s programme and in keeping with a tradition of giving back, ATOM’s “Share ATOM’s Heart” programme will support communities in more than 200 townships across the country, including communities that have recently experienced natural disasters.

As part of this initiative, ATOM plans to allocate more than 560 million kyats across nearly 400 donation and outreach activities focused on education, health, and community support. These activities will benefit more than 112,500 families and include distributing rice and noodles, books and pens, religious donations, vegetable seeds and seedling bags for home gardening, and gift vouchers for essential household and food items. In addition, ATOM’s Telemedicine programme, which already offers online health consultations, will provide free on-the-ground health consultations as part of the initiative.

“Our ‘Share ATOM’s Heart’ programme reflects ATOM’s commitment to bringing benefits to the communities we serve. This initiative builds on our successful efforts from last year, and we believe genuine connection is about more than just providing telecom services. True connection is about sharing love and compassion with communities and giving back to one another, and this programme highlights that belief. Just like last year, ATOM’s teams and employees will volunteer their time and effort to carry out this year’s ‘Share ATOM’s Heart’ activities. As we roll out these activities, we at ATOM understand deeply that our collaborative efforts can create a ripple effect of positive impact for everyone involved and reach those who need support,” said U Win Paing Kyaw, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of ATOM.

Through the “Share ATOM’s Heart” activities, monasteries, orphanages, monastic education schools, communities, young people, families, and ATOM customers alike will all benefit. As the official season partner of the English Premier League (EPL) 2023-2024 season in Myanmar, ATOM has also planned football-related activities for young people.

These “Share ATOM’s Heart” activities carry forward ATOM’s earlier “ATOM’s Compassion, Rays of Kindness” initiative, in keeping with ATOM’s commitment to honouring the deep-rooted values of compassion and unity within Myanmar’s communities.

During the “ATOM’s Compassion, Rays of Kindness” activities held from October to December 2022, ATOM carried out more than 200 donation and outreach activities that benefited over 200,000 people. These activities included donating rice and food items, providing books and pens to orphanages and monastic education schools, donating Pattana scripture books to pilgrims at pagodas, and many other meaningful efforts.

Updates on ATOM’s “Share ATOM’s Heart” programme activities will be shared in the coming weeks on ATOM’s website at www.atom.com.mm, on its Facebook page at www.facebook.com/ATOMOfficialPage, and on its LinkedIn page at www.linkedin.com/company/atom-myanmar/.
