Myanmar’s fourth mobile phone company MNTC and MYTEL SIM card

Currently in Myanmar, MPT, Ooredoo, Telenor, three companies are serving as mobile phone companies.
In addition to this, Myanmar National Tele & Communication Co., Ltd (MNTC), the fourth mobile phone company will also start using Mytel SIM card in 2018.
MNTC is a company jointly invested by two companies in Myanmar and a Viettam telephone company Viettel, and two companies in Myanmar are companies called Myanmar National Telecon Holding Co., Ltd. and Star Hight.
Viettel is 45%, Star Hight is 28%, and Myanmar National Telecon Holding Co., Ltd. is 23% of the invested amount.

Myanmar government licensed MNTC to the communication business for 15 years on January 12, 2016.

Currently they are preparing business, and they plan to sell SIM cards in early 2017.
The investment is initially not full, but ultimately it will be up to $ 2 billion.

The name of the SIM card is named “Mytel”.
“My” means Myanmar, “Tel” means Telecom.

The fourth telephone company MNTC prioritizes the local village.
It covers from there to cities and mountainous areas, making it possible to use up to 98% of the population.

Although details on telephone bills have not been decided yet, as it is a new company, the price may be lower than other companies.
MNTC says it will make the Internet speed fastest to win rival companies and will make it twice as fast as the current speed of other companies.

The communication situation and its amount have changed considerably from last year, but the Myanmar people are not satisfied with the current price yet.
Competition will arise as a new company comes out and competition increases, so the price and service is expected to be better than it is now.
