Recycle startup “recyglo”
I do not know much about Myanmar other than Yangon, but in Yangon, garbage is abundant everywhere in the city and it is a terrible situation that cannot be said as a beautiful city. In the rainy season, garbage that was shed by rain got stuck in drains, which also contributed to flooding. Recycle cupped hands on solving such garbage problem.
Recyglo’s business model is a simple business model that they buy used PET bottles and cans, and they sell them to recycling companies, but if you inquire from the recyglo’s website, they will come to pick up the recycled items. It would be a useful service for those who are troublesome to bring recycled items to the recycling company or those who have a large amount and are hard to carry.
I think that it is necessary to have a certain amount of recycled items to come to pick up, but I do not know the details, so if you are interested please contact them from the recyglo’s website or recyglo’s facebook page.
They currently offer services only in certain areas of Yangon, but they plan to expand the target service area in the future. (The origin of the name of recyglo is recycle + global, so they may want to expand globally) In addition, they plan to develop a mobile application to designate a place like Uber and get them to pick up recycled items.
As a trigger of recycling, I am hoping that Myanmar people’s awareness of garbage will rise and the town will be beautiful, and I would like to support this service as it will become.
Their challenge has only just begun, so let’s look forward to future expansion.
