The government of Yangon region and Tint Tint Myanmar Company collaborated and executed Yangon Water Bus on October 7 to bustle along the Yangon River for the purpose to fix the problems of traffic jam and to be more convenient in transportation in Yangon. The owner of Yangon Water Bus said Yangon Water buses transport from Botathaung harbor to Insein AungZayYa Bridge and it specifies 300 kyats per each itinerary.
The itinerary will transport with total 13 water buses (three ships that can accommodate with 240 passengers, the three ships that can accommodate with 60 passengers and seven ships that can accommodate with 120 passengers) from 6 a. m to 6 p. m and it will cost 500 kyats from the whole itinerary.

The ships are secure and safe from the part of security because they are configured with a GPS system and have security guards. There is a control Center to control them in time if there is problems because of people, machinery and weather, and got and learned the technologies from Hungary. The captains of Yangon Water Bus have ten years experienceand certificates in first-class shipping. For the convenience of straphangers of Yangon Waterbus, they have to ride with Anypay Card System (Paying the ship fare with prepaid card) and can get the card freely and insert at least from 500kyats into the card.

At the opening ceremony the prime minister of Yangon Region OoPhyo Min Thein said that the buses faced many traffic jams then. If we went from a water-course that time, it assuaged some traffic jams and the citizens could fix the traffic jams partly. For the intention of conforming to the passengers, a box of rice is sold by 400 kyats; a cup of coffee is sold by 150 kyats and no allowances other tradesmen onto the ship.

“Soyishi Yokaka”, the mayor of Fukuoka city, Japan rode and studied Yangon Waterbus indouble -tired ship together with the secretary and two members of municipal committee, and obligatory from Yangon Waterbus. It transports passengers from Botathaung harbor- Nangthidat harbor- KyiMyinDaing harbor to Insein AungZaya Bridge and has plans to Extend the itinerary to HlaingTharYar.

Moreover, the company said that they will extend new way from the Ngaung Htan harbor-North Dagon harbor, Star City and ThanLyin. They announce the departure time, arrival time and numbers of ships at the harbors for the passengers to know easily. The company plans to cultivate plants that can make bio-oil along the Yangon River with the help of agriculturalists from Australia. That plan will be implemented with the yeomen along the river within next two years.

At present, the passengers can pay not only with AnyPay Card System but also with tickets. For the first step, Yangon Waterbus transports from Botathaung- Insein and the constructions of Quayside for itinerary from Dagon to Nyaunghtan will be doing as a second step. For the third step, they will construct quayside for the itinerary of Thanlyin-Star city.

We also know that the itinerary of Thanlyin KyaukTan Pagoda will be starting weekly from March17 and 18 with 6,000kyats per each. The itinerary of Thanlyin KyaukTan Pagoda will start from Botahtaung harbor at 6:30am on the weekend and food and drinks
