“Samsung’s vision for the future is not just about connecting devices. Re-connecting with the planet and leaving a positive impact, is an integral part of our plan. As the world leader in consumer electronics, Samsung has a responsibility to protect our environment and build a better future,” Mr.Jong-Hee (JH) Han said.

Everyday Sustainability is the core concept of Samsung to build a sustainable future that inspires to infuse sustainability into everything it does. The company has been able to realize its vision by implementing new, low-impact product manufacturing practices such as reducing carbon emissions and eliminating battery waste.

Samsung earned recognition from Carbon Trust, the world’s leading authority on carbon footprint. Last year, these Carbon Trust-certified memory chips helped to reduce carbon emissions by nearly 700,000 tons and extend to semiconductors by using recycled materials.

In addition, Samsung is projected to use recycled materials for all mobile products and home appliances over the next three years. With the global expansion of the award-winning Eco-Packaging Program, the cardboard boxes which will be included packaging for home appliances can be transformed into cat boxes, side tables, or other useful furniture items.

Simultaneously, Samsung is expected to make all of its TVs and phone chargers operate on near-zero standby power, almost no energy consumption in order to reduce e-waste which is a big challenge for the electronics industry. With the belief in togetherness, Samsung also announced that its eco-conscious technology such as Solar Cell Remote will be made open source in order to be used by others for their devices as a commitment to innovation and sustainability.

In CES 2022, Samsung unveils a new innovative product ‘free style’ which reflects “Screens Everywhere, Screens for All’, a portable screen, acts as a host of smart TV and can be set up virtually anywhere. Photo Source http://news.samsung.com

Gaming Hub performs as an all-in-one platform for playing clouds and console games which is projected to be launched on Smart TVs and monitors in 2022. The Odyssey Ark monitor will be launched with a flexible and curved gaming screen that can give multi-view experiences.

To create truly enhanced living experiences more accessible and seamless for everyone, Samsung announced to make SmartThings Hub a built-in feature of its 2022 TVs, Smart Monitors, and Family Hub refrigerators.

Mr.Jong-Hee (JH) Han concludes that “It’s time to evolve our products and experiences to better fit the needs of a new generation of users. As we champion an ecosystem of inclusive and connected technology, I look forward to sharing how we have been inspired by the people, values, and lifestyles that create our global community, and how we can continue to support them through people-first programs and innovation.”

In addition, Samsung’s monitor line up 32-inch Odyssey Neo G8 monitor earned a “Best of Innovation Award in the Gaming category” at CES 2022 which has been the sixth straight year that Samsung monitors have earned CES Innovation.
