Huawei made an official announcement for their smartphones users

Huawei made an announcement that after Alphabet Inc ‘s Google has suspended business with Huawei

in software, hardware and other technical services except for publicly available via Open Source

Licensing, the existing Huawei device users can continue to use applications and do updates from

Google. “We are complying with the order and can still have access to other services such as Google Play

and Security Protectors from Google Play Protect” said Google Spokesperson without adding any further

information.

The suspension from Google have a big impact on Huawei smartphones business outside China and

Huawei will loss access to Google’s next versions of Android Operating System. Huawei ‘s latest

smartphone users are no longer permitted to use the popular applications and services such as Google

Play Store, Gmail, Youtube, Chrome Browser and other Google’s other business partners.

Trump administration added Huawei Technologies Co Ltd to US trade blacklist. The trading ban will stop

supplying US telecommunication components and technology to the Huawei and stop its business in the Though we still do not have a clear understanding of how the blacklist affects Huawei’s phones,

people are more interested in whether Huawei can make a phone without US.

Huawei has been trying to build its own operating system after US investigation and some of its own

technologies are ready to use in China.

In a meeting in March, Eric Xu, Chairman of Huawei, said “No matter what happens, the Android

Community does not have any legal right to block any company from accessing its open-source license.”

 

Huawei is the largest smartphones maker in the world and also a well-known brand in Myanmar. So,

Huawei released an announcement about US ban on its business on Facebook page on May 20.
