Ooredoo Myanmar held the grand prize awarding ceremony for its “Chwin Chwin Chwin” promotion at the Melia Hotel today, February 3, 2023. At the event, Ooredoo Myanmar presented three grand prize winners each with a 10-kyat-tical gold bar.
The three winners came from different townships: Ko Yal Htun Naing from Mawlamyine, Mon State; Ko Moe Hein Kyaw from Mayangone Township, Yangon Region; and Daw Than Than Htwe from Pathein Kone, Bago Region.

The winner selection was livestreamed on Ooredoo Myanmar’s social media channels on January 20, 2023, from Ooredoo Myanmar’s head office in Yangon, in front of members of the press. During the livestream, three journalists helped select the winners using a digital Spin the Wheel tool.
The three grand prize winners were left thoroughly stunned by their unexpected luck. “I’m genuinely so surprised and happy to have been chosen as a 10-kyat-tical gold prize winner. At first I didn’t believe it — my friends thought it was a scam. It was only later, when I realized it was really being announced on Ooredoo’s livestream, that I was truly amazed. I work as a driver for a living. That day I was so happy I couldn’t even keep working. I’ve been using Ooredoo for four years now — I started because I liked the number. I mostly buy voice calls and data packages, and I buy more data packages than anything else. I enjoy using Ooredoo even more now. I really want to say thank you to Ooredoo,” said Ko Yal Htun Naing, beaming with joy.

Ko Moe Hein Kyaw from Mayangone Township said, “I’m so happy to be one of the winners. Right now I still depend on my family and help out with my father’s work. I’ll use the prize money for my family, and also invest it in courses to build my own future. Thank you, Ooredoo. This prize is one of the biggest strokes of luck in my life. Before this, the most data I’d ever won playing Ooredoo’s ‘Don Don Don’ game was just 1GB.”
Daw Than Than Htwe from Pathein Kone said, “I was so shocked and happy when I got the call from Ooredoo’s livestreamed lucky draw event. I’ve been using Ooredoo for two years now. I use data packages, but I can’t buy them myself, so I always have to ask friends to help me buy them. Hearing this great news made me happier than words can say. At the same time, I couldn’t help but think of my mother, who passed away four months ago, and it made me sad — I wish I could have shared this moment with her. My neighbors were also happy for me and congratulated me. I couldn’t even sleep that night. I’ll use some of the prize money to do merit for my late mother, and start my own small business with the rest. I’m truly, deeply grateful to Ooredoo, and I hope Ooredoo keeps giving out many more prizes in the future.”

Ooredoo Myanmar launched the “Chwin Chwin Chwin” lucky draw promotion on November 1, 2022. Ooredoo subscribers who purchased data or voice call packages worth 999 kyats or more were automatically entered into the draw. Through this promotion, Ooredoo Myanmar awarded a total of 183 daily 1-kyat-tical gold prize winners, along with the three grand prize winners who each received a 10-kyat-tical gold bar.
